To celebrate National Flash Fiction Day on the 16th May 2012, here's a randomly-presented selection of 16 fine submissions from the Paragraph Planet archives. This is not meant to be a 'Best of' - with over 1000 published paragraphs it would be so hard to choose - but hopefully they demonstrate the power of flash fiction. Thank you for all the authors who've submitted to the site.

Paragraph Planet is a creative writing website inviting 75 word paragraphs. These might be extracts of novels, short short stories, or simply the capture of a moment. Established authors, aspiring writers, occasional scribblers all welcome.
